What is the origin and quality of raw material that Pan Komerc® uses for production of profiled sheet metal?
Materials that Pan Komerc® use in the production of profiled sheet metal are made by world largest steel manufacturer Arcelor-Mittal®. Pan Komerc® is commited to specify raw material origin and establish longterm cooperation with selected suppliers in order to provide continious and verified product quality. Does Pan Komerc products have necessary attests and valid certificates from authorized institutions?
All sheet metals used in our production have attests for physical and chemical properties. Roofing and wall profiles are certified on Belgrade Construction Faculty for load bearing capacities and quality Pre-painted galvanized sheet metal has 140 gr/m2 zinc coating, 7 microns of primer paint and 25 microns of weather resistant polyester paint over the steel base.
What is durability of roofing profiles and what guarantee is provided by Pan Komerc® for its sheet metal products?
Legal guarantee provided by sheet metal suppliers is from 5 to 10 years which is valid under strict conditions. With over 35 years of experience in sheet metal, we can confirm that in most cases lifetime of sheet metal exceedes 25 years in moderate climate regions. Factors that have strong impact on sheet metal durability are local climate conditions, activity that is being performed in and around the building, roof pitch, storage and installation procedures. Colour of metal roofing also has an impact on its durability as brighter colours have up to 10% longer lifespan than dark coloured metal roofs.
What are heat conduction properties and and advantages of profiled sheet metal compared to concrete roofing tiles?
The fact is that metal roofs absorb heat more quickly than concrete tiles. Advantage of metal roof is that it cools down more quickly than concrete roof tiles which accumulate heat for longer period of time. Temperature of metal roof during summer days will depend on roof color where darker colors, which absorb sunlight, gain more heat than lighter colors which reflect sunlight. Installation of additional roof insulation layers is recommended, such as rock wool Condensation may occur on the underside of uninsulated metal roof due to temperature difference between inside and outside space.
